Case Study

Les Terrasses de Prêles – photoreal 360° panorama of a terrace apartment overlooking Lake Biel

The project

Les Terrasses de Prêles is a new-build residential project above Lake Biel in western Switzerland: 24 condominium apartments ranging from studio to 5.5-room units, 39 underground parking spaces, a 2 300 m² landscaped park and panoramic terraces facing the lake. The programme addresses couples, families and retirees wishing to live between the lake and the northern slopes of the Jura. Completion: 2026.

Developer and architect: Gamma SA. Marketing is handled by R-éal Suisse SA (Clarens) and Wayne SA (Neuchâtel), financing by Raiffeisen Grand Chasseral. The official project website is lesterrassesdepreles.ch.

ArchVisual was commissioned for the full 3D visualization and panorama tour production — from the exterior rendering for the permit application to the six interactive 360° tours that can be tried directly on this page.

The challenge

Gamma SA had to market the project long before the shell was completed. Target buyers — from couples looking for a lake-view pied-à-terre to families and retirees — typically choose between several developments without physically visiting them all. So we needed visual material that works in the sales dossier, on the project site and on homegate, newhome and Comparis, and that conveys a sense of space realistic enough for a prospect to pre-decide without travelling to Prêles.

In parallel, developer and marketing agents wanted to differentiate the project with interactive tours: an image pack is standard in this segment today, an embeddable 360° tour was the lever to stand out from parallel offerings across western Switzerland.

Our approach

From Gamma SA’s CAD data we rebuilt a complete 3D model of the development and selected apartment types — including terraces, landscaped park, neighbouring buildings and the topography down to the lake. On this base we produced six equirectangular panoramas (4 000 × 2 000 pixels each): three exteriors and three interiors, covering multiple apartment numbers (23, 25, 26, 35, 52) plus an overview perspective. All panoramas were rendered with the exact same material and lighting setup to keep the atmosphere consistent across the series.

The panoramas were then assembled with Pano2VR into six interactive HTML5 tours — including navigation hotspots, gyroscope support on mobile, WebXR compatibility for VR headsets and a dedicated URL per tour for embedding on lesterrassesdepreles.ch and portal listings. Total production time from model handover to finished tour: about six weeks.

Live tours

Three rooms, one interactive model

Pick an apartment and navigate the space directly — like on the developer’s project portal, no app install needed. Tours run on desktop, mobile and VR headsets.

All six tours are available in the pano archive or directly on lesterrassesdepreles.ch.

Interior perspectives

Living by the lake

Three equirectangular interior panoramas show material choice, furnishing and lighting of the apartment types — rendered in the same mood as the exteriors for a consistent visual language across the campaign.

Les Terrasses de Prêles – interior panorama apartment 52, premium-type living area
Les Terrasses de Prêles – interior panorama apartment 35, bedroom and dressing area
Les Terrasses de Prêles – interior panorama apartment 23, living and dining area in the morning

The outcome

Gamma SA was able to start active marketing even before the shell was completed. The six 360° tours are integrated as standalone URLs on the official site lesterrassesdepreles.ch and are used by R-éal Suisse SA and Wayne SA both in the digital dossier and as a QR code on the printed brochure — prospects pre-select apartments from their own living room.

For ArchVisual, the project is a reference case for Swiss mid-sized developments (10 to 30 units): a compact 3D model, consistent material and light mood across the image series, six strategically placed 360° stations with direct portal embedding. The panorama previews on this page open the embedded live tours above directly — so you experience the delivered format exactly as your prospective buyers would.

Frequently asked questions

Everything important about process, data, quality and outcomes.

What is the Les Terrasses de Prêles project? +

Les Terrasses de Prêles is a new-build residential project in Prêles, above Lake Biel: 24 condominium apartments ranging from studio to 5.5-room units, 39 underground parking spaces, a 2 300 m² landscaped park and panoramic terraces overlooking the lake. Architecture firm Gamma SA commissioned ArchVisual for the 3D visualization and 360° virtual tour work.

What services did ArchVisual deliver? +

Six photoreal equirectangular 360° panoramas (three exteriors with terrace and neighbourhood integration, three interiors with day and evening moods), a complete image series for brochure and portal use and six interactive virtual tours based on Pano2VR — directly embeddable on homegate, newhome, Comparis and the developer’s own project site.

How long did production take? +

About six weeks from handover of the 3D model to final delivery, including supplementary modelling, materials, lighting, post-production and the HTML5 player build. Producing the six panoramas in parallel guaranteed material and light consistency across the image series.

How are the 360° tours integrated? +

Each tour ships as a self-contained HTML5 package with its own URL and can be embedded via iframe into the digital brochure, project landing page or Swiss real estate portal listings. A direct QR code to the tour is also used on the printed brochure.

Which software was used? +

The 3D model was rebuilt from Gamma SA’s CAD data, rendered with Physically Based Rendering and HDRI skies for natural daylight, post-produced in 4K, then assembled as panoramas in Pano2VR with navigation hotspots, a mini site plan and gyroscope control on mobile.

Who produced the project visualization? +

ArchVisual, the specialist 3D visualization studio under Archify AG in Bern. The mandate came from architect Gamma SA; marketing is handled by R-éal Suisse SA (Clarens) and Wayne SA (Neuchâtel), with financing by Raiffeisen Grand Chasseral.

Where can I see the full project? +

The 360° tours are embedded directly on this page — and on the project’s own website lesterrassesdepreles.ch, which also carries the full floor plans, site overview, sales dossier and contact points for commercial enquiries.

Can I use ArchVisual for a similar project? +

Yes. The format delivered for Les Terrasses de Prêles — six 360° panoramas plus a complete photoreal image series — is a solid standard for Swiss developments with 10 to 30 units. Typical budget for a package of this scope sits between CHF 6 500 and CHF 12 000 depending on station count and required material depth.
